Walthamstow is mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces, many split into flats and maisonettes, with flats above the shops along the high street and newer apartment blocks around Blackhorse Road. Each brings its own electrical questions.
In older terraces, wiring has usually been added to over the decades through extensions, loft conversions and new kitchens, so a fault can sit anywhere in a mix of old and new circuits.
